Phil Coulter---1942年2月19日出生在Derry北爱尔兰长大，那时候正是第二次世界大战。从小的时候家里最值钱的东西就是Challen钢琴。所以那时候他们的房子总是充满音乐。父亲拉小提琴母亲弹钢琴。虽然他们演奏的并不是最好，但音乐无时无刻飘扬在家中的每一角落。 Coulter has amassed 23 platinum discs, 39 gold discs, 52 silver discs, two Grand Prix Eurovision awards; five Ivor Novello Awards, which includes Songwriter of the Year; three American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers awards; a Grammy Nomination; a Meteor Award, a National Entertainment Award and a Rose d'or d'Antibes. He is one of the biggest record sellers in his native land.
